Ingredients That Made Us
Ingredients That Made Us
We sing, dance, living and enjoy our spice and pepper hot regardless of whatever we’re going through, our food tastes better that way, It’s our tradition and culture, our blessing, it defines who we are even in crazy uncertain times, we cope with life hoping for better days ahead, loving who we are, laughing, dancing and singing our sorrows away.
Life is happening and times are changing, our fashion and the styles that rule our validation, we modernize our culture to fit these changing times, running from the motherland to give our lives meaning, not wanting to die empty as we came to earth. We’re here to make an impact, that’s the feeling but the battle to create this meaning is fiercer here, so we seek a fairer ground where dreams of a better life can be achieved, but the colour of our skin was used against us, an unwelcome hardship that make us question the reason for existence.
We hope, believing in our different complexion, the same air, and sky we live under. The situation of where our skin is from might be different but it’s a sectional detail of what the world is, coated and branded differently in another part that paints the greener pastures we seek, but life is life, death is the same too.
The feeling of love we can’t explain; we experience the same sweet confusing feelings that make us realize everything ends, triggering the anxiety that ruins what’s possible, making us enjoy reality less. Reality is our blessing and curse defining the decision we make, designing how we want to live life on the canvas. We paint our masterpiece regardless. Marketing it to be celebrated is the master class we’ll keep attending till the end of time.
We want to impact the people we want validation from, so we cook food with our spices, incorporating new recipes and styling, we are who we are, our heart knows this truth too, so we strive to live like who we are. Written By Faka Olodu
