Cocoyam-Fufu-Mehl wird aus getrocknetem Cocoyam hergestellt und zu Mehlpulver gemahlen. Es wird wie Kartoffelpüree zu einem halbfesten Teig gekocht und mit einer köstlichen afrikanischen Gemüsesuppe oder Suppe Ihrer Wahl serviert.
Kakao-Fufu-Mehl gilt als toller Bestandteil einer gesunden Ernährung. Es ist reich an Ballaststoffen und komplexen Kohlenhydraten. Viele Diabetiker empfanden es auch als hilfreich bei der Kontrolle ihres Zuckerspiegels.
So bereiten Sie Wegerich-Fufu zu

- Geben Sie etwa einen halben Liter (zwei Tassen oder 500 ml) klares, sauberes Wasser in einen Topf
- Bringen Sie es zum Kochen. Sobald das Wasser kocht, streuen Sie bei schwacher Hitze etwa eine Tasse voll Kochbananenmehl in das kochende Wasser.
- Rühren Sie den entstandenen Teig kräftig mit einem Holzspatel um und achten Sie darauf, dass keine Insel aus getrocknetem Mehl von alleine bleibt
- Fügen Sie dieser Mischung mehr Mehl oder kochendes Wasser hinzu, bis Sie die gewünschte Dicke Ihrer Wahl erreicht haben. Einige mögen sehr hartes Fufu, andere möchten es weich.
- Decken Sie nun den Fufu-Topf ab und lassen Sie ihn bei niedriger bis mittlerer Hitze etwa fünf Minuten lang köcheln.
- Nochmals umrühren und das Kochbananen-Fufu abkühlen lassen
