App Privacy

This notice explains how the Honesty Sales app for iPhone, iPad and Android handles your information. It adds to our main Privacy Policy, which also applies to the app. The app is operated by Honesty Sales Ltd, PA103 Technology Centre, Glaisher Drive, Wolverhampton WV10 9RU, United Kingdom, the data controller of your personal information.

What the app handles

  • Account and orders. When you sign in, the app uses your Honesty Sales customer account to show your name, email address, orders and basket. Checkout and payment are handled by Shopify; the app does not store your payment card details.
  • Notifications. If you allow notifications, we store a notification token for your device, your choices (order updates, deals and offers) and, when you are signed in, a link to your customer account. We use these only to send the notifications you chose. You can change your choices on the You tab in the app or in your device settings.
  • Akua chat. Messages you send to Akua, our shopping assistant, are stored with a random chat ID created on your device and, when you are signed in, your customer account, so that Akua can help with your orders. Messages are processed by our AI service provider, Anthropic (Claude), to generate replies, and may be read by our customer service team. If you choose to continue on WhatsApp, we pass a short reference so our team can find your chat.
  • Lists and preferences. Saved lists and display preferences are stored on your device.

The app does not show advertising and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. It does not access your location, contacts, photos or files.

Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your account and the personal information associated with it by emailing sales@honestysales.com or messaging us on WhatsApp on +44 7777 679346. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days, except for order and transaction records we are required to keep by law.
